Dear gephi devs,
My name is Yudi and am a GSoC student this year. I used to develop on
eclipse plugin-based systems and am new to Netbeans. Currently I am
doing my best to get up to speed to the development process in Gephi
community as well as launchpad (by the way this is a great platform and
really beats google code in my opinion).
Here are a few questions that I could not find answer from launchpad
question list:
1. I saw packages named under 'spi'. What is the difference between spi
and api in Netbeans plugin model? (what is the convention in gephi)
2. A question on license term for code reuse. How should I comment
@author when modifying existing code? I assume:
@author 1 <email>
@author 2 <email>
but it is best to be sure.
3. I saw blueprints in launchpad and am wondering how it is
used/managed? It seems to be a good practice that open a branch per
blueprint so it is aware to the test team. Should I register a blueprint
before contributing code?
4. Question on quest for merge. It would be great if someone can point
me to a walkthrough how it is done in launchpad.
Thanks a bunch!
Cheers,
Yudi
